Sin-la Pass

Adi Kailash Valley to Darma Valley

The Sinla Pass trek reaches an altitude of 5495 meters and is located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. This pass serves as a crucial link between the Darma Valley and the Adi Kailash Valley, also known as Kutti Yanti Valley. In ancient times, Sinla Pass was a significant trade route used by the Bhotiyas, and it remains snow-covered throughout the year.

The pass connects Bidang in the Darma Valley to Jolingkong Lake in the Kutti Yankti Valley, featuring steep and rocky terrain on both sides. Sinla Pass provides breathtaking views of the Adi Kailash peak, especially on clear, sunny days. It has historical significance as it was part of the ancient trade route used by the Bhotiyas to connect with Tibet. The trek offers a challenging and adventurous journey through high-altitude landscapes, showcasing the natural beauty of the Uttarakhand region while allowing trekkers to trace the footsteps of ancient traders and explorers.
